Acosta Danza: Evolution Sadler's Wells tickets on sale now!

Following both a highly praised international and nationwide tour, Carlos Acosta's diverse and highly refined Cuban company are ready to bring their sophomore programme filled with contemporary dance pieces and ballet to London's Sadler's Wells this November for a strictly limited run.

The latest compilation of works, which also features Carlos Acosta himself in a guest performance, includes the fantabulous Paysage, Soudain, la nuit piece by renowned Swedish choreographer Pontus Lidberg, the unforgettable piece, Rooster, choreographed by Christopher Bruce to the sound of The Rolling Stones' greatest hits, and a brand-new piece entitled Satori by emerging Cuban choreographer Raúl Reinoso.

Completing the bill is Faun, a piece by Sadler's Wells' Associate Artist Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, who was inspired by Vaslav Nijinsky’s L’après midi d’un faune. The show is backed by Associate Artist Nitin Sawhney's interpretation of the original Debussy composition.

The Acosta Danza Company was superb and soloists so exciting to watch! A thoroughly enjoyable evening.....However, I would say the quality of the music was OK but there was a loud humming clearly audible in the quiet passages.

Jennifer Prain23rd November

Stunning dancing from Carlos Acosta’s troupe. Fun too with a final section danced to the music of the Stones.
