One of China’s most respected and innovative cultural exports, The China National Peking Opera Company has staged more than 500 masterful historical dramas since its formation five decades ago.

The Legend of White Snake is a famous piece of Chinese folklore, while its characters are household names in the country. In the long history of suppression and obedience before her, Lady White is a symbol of rebellion, bravery and a quest for true love.

Out of Asia 2 features a range of works by five dance companies from across China and Taiwan, as well as four independent choreographers from China, Japan, Indonesia and India, in a special collaboration with artist Choy Ka Fai, originally from Singapore.
