Reprising their Tony Award-winning roles are Kelli O’Hara as Anna and Ruthie Ann Miles as Lady Thiang. Tony and Oscar award nominee Ken Watanabe has reprised his titular role as the King of Siam. These original Broadway stars have made their UK debuts in this West End revival to rapturous applause. Joining the cast is major Japanese film and television star Takao Osawa as the Kralahome, trusted adviser to the King of Siam. Young lovers Lun Tha and Tuptim are played by the original West End star of Aladdin Dean John-Wilson, and rising star Na-Young Jeon. The King and I features such beloved classics as I Have Dreamed, Getting to Know You, I Whistle a Happy Tune, Shall We Dance, and Something Wonderful.
This classic musical tale of East meets West brings us to the court of the King of Siam who is eager to change the way he is viewed by the world. Anna, a refined Welsh widow is tasked with educating the royal children in the ways of the West. What could ever develop between two people so firmly rooted in their personal, and often deeply opposed, traditions and values?
Kelli O’Hara and Ken Watanabe were both widely acclaimed by audiences and critics alike for their performances in the Broadway revival. The production was nominated for 9 Tony Awards and came away with 4, including one for Kelli O’Hara for Best Leading Actress. Both O’Hara and Watanabe are now starring in this West End revival of The King and I.

Well, it went amazingly well! I have to admit that I thought it was all too good to be true, tickets + a meal + a glass of fizzy, but it was, and it was fantastic. Busaba was a very pleasant restaurant, the food was very good indeed and the staff helpful and kind. Can't recommend it highly enough and certainly hope to buy this sort of deal again.
Pleased with the whole package, no complaints would use service again

Excellent show.Good food. Restaurant service let it down as prepaid therefore not so interested in us. Brought the first course out after the second course with no apology.

An excellent production with a talented Kelli O’Hara stealing the show. Sadly Ken Watanabe gave a forced hammy performance shouting his way through the part, lacking any stage magic. Fortunately the quality of the production carried the show.
