About Franz & Marie

Set in a bleak world inspired by late 19th-century European folklore, Franz & Marie follows soldier Franz Woyzeck after his return from the front line. Haunted by disturbing visions and struggling beneath the weight of war, he clings to the love of Marie and their young child. As prejudice, poverty and psychological torment close in, the couple's hopes of a future together become increasingly fragile, leading them towards a heartbreaking and unforgettable fate.
