The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4 the musical

Based on Sue Townsend's best selling book, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4 had incredibly successful runs at both the Curve in Leicester in 2015, and at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London in 2017. Now Adrian has landed back in the West End for a strictly limited run from 15 June to 28 September at the West End's Ambassadors Theatre.

"I have a problem. I am an intellectual, but at the same time I am not very clever." - Adrian Mole

This classic tells the story of our misunderstood protagonist, poet and intellectual Adrian Mole. Our story has classic themes, teenage angst, family trouble and the inevitable unrequited love. As Mole struggles with dysfunctional parents and mounting debt to the school bully, and a particularly bad spot on his chin, a new girl moves into the class and his heart. Will Pandora come between Adrian and his best friend? Will Adrian win her heart? Can he ever escape his chaotic home life?

The team behind Adrian Mole the musical

The show is directed by Luke Sheppard.

Miss Rachael Minott29th September

Hilarious. Done very well to capture the perspective of a 13 3/4 year old on the world and the actors really used this for direction. The theatre was lovely and felt intimate.

A stunning, feel-good show; a great tribute to the fabulous Sue Townsend books, with amazing actors. How the young Adrians manage the huge demands of the part, who knows. Thoroughly impressive. We're profoundly in love with this musical!
