The full company has been announced for the new London production of Death Note: The Musical, which opens at the Barbican Theatre on 30 July 2026 for a strictly limited six-week run.

Previously announced stars Xander Pang and Colin Ryan will be joined by Stephanie Zaharis as Misa Amane, Telly Leung as Ryuk, Grace Mouat as Rem, Paolo Montalban as Soichiro Yagami, Chloe Saracco as Jerasu and Elise Buckley as Sayu.

The ensemble features CJ Benoiton, Louise Liluna Browning, Aoife Haakenson, Samantha Ho, Katie Ka Lay Ho, Olivia Hazel Jones, Matthew Koon, Abel Law, Luchia Moss, Patrick Munday, Richie Paisley, Regine Phua, Nicky Wong Rush and Ernest Stroud. Nicole Carlisle, Renz Cardenas and David Ouch join as swings, with Sian Yeo serving as Swing and Dance Captain.

Based on the bestselling manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the musical follows gifted student Light Yagami, played by Xander Pang, who discovers a notebook with the power to kill anyone whose name is written inside. As Light sets out to reshape the world as the mysterious "Kira", master detective L, played by Colin Ryan, begins a battle of wits to stop him.

This reimagined production features a revised script and new songs alongside Frank Wildhorn's original score, with lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. Stephen Whitson directs, with design by Jon Bausor and choreography by Fabian Aloise.

Death Note: The Musical runs at the Barbican Theatre from 30 July to 12 September 2026. Tickets are on sale now.
