After playing at the London Palladium this summer, Jesus Christ Superstar will transfer to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane this autumn for a limited West End season from 16 October 2026 to 9 January 2027.
Singer-songwriter Sam Ryder will continue in the role of Jesus following his performances at the Palladium this summer. Further casting for key roles like Judas, Simon and King Herod is expected to be announced soon.
Written by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the iconic rock opera retells the final days of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Judas, exploring themes of fame, faith, betrayal and power through a legendary rock score.
Featuring classic songs including “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”, “Gethsemane” and “Superstar”, the production has become one of the most celebrated musical revivals in recent years thanks to its thrilling staging, powerful performances and electrifying choreography.
