Jinkx Monsoon to join the West End Cast of Oh, Mary! as Mary Todd Lincoln

Two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon will take on the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in the Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy Oh, Mary! in the West End for a strictly limited six-week run from 17th August, having played the role on Broadway.
Catherine Tate will continue in the role until 18 July 2026, followed by Cole Escola returning to the show (having written the play and originated the role of Mary on Broadway) for a limited four-week summer engagement from 20 July to 15 August 2026.
The Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy continues its West End run following a celebrated Broadway transfer, with casting across the season showcasing major names from stage, screen and comedy. The role of Mary Todd Lincoln has become a central draw of the production, with each performer bringing a distinct interpretation to the title character’s satirical retelling.
So, to recap, the role of Mary Todd Lincoln will be played by:
- Catherine Tate: until 18th July.
- Cole Escola: 20th July to 15th August 2026.
- Jinkx Monsoon: from 17th August to 26th September 2026
Due to huge demand, the show has already extended three times and now plays at the Trafalgar Theatre until 2 January 2027, with casting for autumn onwards to be announced in due course.
