When the enigmatic Hilde Wangel unexpectedly returns, she reminds Solness of a promise he made years earlier, forcing him to confront his deepest ambitions, regrets and fears. As Hilde encourages him to reach even greater heights, Solness must decide whether one final act of daring will secure his legacy—or lead to his downfall.
