In tribute to one of the greatest British playwrights, Ambassadors Theatre Group have renamed The Comedy Theatre as The Harold Pinter Theatre

The Ambassador Theatre Group announced today that it is to rename London’s Comedy Theatre as The Harold Pinter Theatre after the late Nobel Prize-winning British playwright.

Joining Thandie Newton on stage at the Comedy Theatre from 13th October will be Tom Goodman-Hill and Anthony Calf.  The Ariel Dorfman play, Death And The Maiden is a 3 hander political drama that will be showing until 21st January 2012.

First it was Keira, currently it's Kristin Scott Thomas, next up continuing the starry line up at the Comedy Theatre is film actress Thandie Newton making her West End Debut in the Ariel Dorfman thriller Death and the Maiden from 13th October to 21st January 2012, press night on 24th October.

Doctor Who's Amy Pond, the flame-haired actress Karen Gillan is to make her professional theatre debut in at the Donmar Warehouse in a West End revival of John Osborne's 1964 play Inadmissible Evidence.
