After their fateful meeting in a grief support group, retired miner Don and former teacher Carol thought they had finally found their soulmate. But when they decide to cycle across Europe together, treacherous paths bring them to the brink of despair and soon they’re just one pedal away from nipping their romance in the bud.

Just Brilliant!

Brilliant play - moving and funny in equal amounts and very thought provoking. Superbly acted. Like all good plays it leaves you with more questions than answers. A real gem.

A brilliant example of live theatre on an intimate scale. Totally engaging, this impressive two-hander moved effortlessly between slapstick, ironic humour and moving soliloquies. Loved it!

Great little theatre, right up close to the performance. Show was very good, felt the end faded off a bit, and not helped by big clanger when Carol got her lines muddled, saying she voted to leave Brexit instead of remain!

The intimate setting allowed me to get close to this excellent play. Jane Thornton and John Godber interacted so well, weaving four lives out of two. It was a comedy with political muscle and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cath 26th April

A very funny down to earth take on life with heartbreaking moments.

Well written, well acted = Money well spent!

I thought the play was brilliant - have recommended it to a friend who I know would love it. It does show that with a great script and acting you can create wonderful entertainment from very little

Great perspective on Brexit for those that enjoy cycling! Lovely venue really small and intimate

First half was good, but lost momentum in the second and rather fizzled out.
