"Two couples. Friendship, suspicion, deceit….and the truth."

Hot on the heels of  a successful run at the Menier Chocolate Factory, The Truth transfers to the Wyndhams Theatre from 22nd June 2016.

Following the huge success of the French playwright’s The Father and The Mother, both of which transferred to London following runs at the Theatre Royal Bath, The Truth is the third work by the Molière Award winner in recent months to receive a London run.

In a new version by his frequent collaborator Christopher Hampton, (Les Liaisions Dangereuses) Zeller’s biting comedy explores friendship, suspicion, deceit and, of course, the truth.

The story of two couples, the play centres around businessman Michel and his affair with doctor Alice. Alice, who also happens to be married to Michel’s best friend Paul, decides she wants more from their mutual relationship. But Michel faces unexpected consequences to his extramarital dalliance...
