Alexander McMorran

Originally from Vancouver, Alexander McMorran is now based in the UK and is an experienced performer who has appeared on several platforms to date. He is currently a part of the ensemble for the 2019 production of Come From Away.



He is the winner of CTC Best Actor in a Play for his portrayal of Salieri in Amadeus. Alexander also won the Vancouver Courier Best of 2010, Georgia Straight Best of 2010, WestEnder Best Actor (Small Theatre), Ovation Best Lead Actor and CTC Best Actor in a Musical.


He attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, graduating with a Post Graduate Diploma in Acting in 2013. In 2020, he achieved a BA in Music (Voice) from the University of British Columbia.


Alexander’s extensive credits include playing Sammy in The Wedding Singer (2010); Reverend Mayor in Snow: The Musical (2010); Sebatacheck in Almost An Evening at Blank Slate Theatre (2010); Death in The 4H Club at Genus Theatre (2010); Rabbi Kruger in Assembly Line at the Neanderthal Festival (2010); the title role in Sweeney Todd (2010); Corbett MacPhee in Supernatural at Fugue Theatre (2011); Wong in A Good Woman of Setzuan (2011); Salieri in Amadeus (2011); Trifon Semyonovich in Little Apples (2012); Houdini in Hover (2012); John Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2012); Stephen Bellamy in Farragut North at Blank Slate Theatre (2012); J. Bruce Ismay in Titanic: A New Musical at Theatre Under the Stars (2012); Gower/Simonides/Bawd/Antiochus in Pericles: Prince of Tyre at The Free Theatre (2013); Thomas Novachek in Venus in Fur at Tristan Bates Theatre (2013); Stephano/Boatswain in The Tempest at the Oxford Chamber Theatre and London Theatre New Cross (2014); Lord Abe in Pacific Overtures at the Union Theatre (2014).


His credits include Mic in the feature film Alone (2010), Jonathan in Joy (2010), and Kevin in the short film Missing (2010).
