Josh D. Baker is a professional actor, singer and dancer based in London, England who made his stage debut on 24th February 2011. The 1998-born actor from Rochester, southeast of London is the 54th worldwide actor to play the role of Billy in Billy Elliot. Currently, he is a swing playing the assistant dance captain and Thomas in the West End production of & Juliet.
Josh began his acting training at the age of 5 and dance at 7. He went to the Italia Conti Associate School in Chislehurst. He later trained at the Bird College of Dance and Sylvia Young Theatre School.
His list of theatre credits includes the role of a dancer in Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th Birthday at the London Palladium; the title role in Billy Elliot – The Musical at the Victoria Palace; dancer in Alternative Hair Show at the Royal Albert Hall; dancer at The Queen’s 90th Birthday, Windsor; ensemble/Once-Ler Family in The Lorax at The Royal Alexandra and Old Vic; ensemble in Oklahoma! at the Grange Park Theatre; ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre; Dick Whittington’s Cat in Dick Whittington at the Mayflower Theatre Southampton.
He appeared as Jimmy in BBC’s Holby City.
