Matt Cox

Matt Cox is a professional actor from South East London/Leicestershire. He has worked both on stage and screen and has toured the US with various theatre shows. Currently, he appears as an Ensemble in Mary Poppins.

 

Training:

Matt trained in Musical Theatre at The Hammond and graduated in 2009.

Theatre:

Matt worked as a Dancer in L’orfreo at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2009), Dancer in Die Walkure (2010), Ensemble, covered and played The Prince in Beauty And The Beast (2010-11), Swing in the tour of Shaun’s Big Show (2012), Thommy/Werner Kohlmeyer in Das Wunder at the Theatre An Der Elbe Hamburg (2014-16), Adonis in Mary Poppins at the Apollo Theatre Stuttgart (2016-17), Ensemble in Dick Whittington at the London Palladium (2017-18), Ensemble/Waiter in 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane (2018-19), Tapper in the US tour of The Choir Of Man (2019), Swing/cover Northbrook in Mary Poppins at Prince Edward London (2019-20).

Commercials:

Dancer in a commercial for Juke Box Jive’ ‘Rhythm And Shoes’ ‘Work It (2009-10), Dancer/Papparatzi in a Gatecrasher commercial (2010) and Footballer in a Regaine commercial (2013).

Film:

His short-film includes playing Clarke in the Cliff Fall (2012), Danny in the Blackmagic (2014), Jerry (lead) in Trapped (2020), David in Shooting (2020) and Gene in Lovergeist (2020).
