About Traces

This young, astonishingly talented French-Canadian company have pioneered a whole new brand of circus. Traces was a runaway hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007, and now returns to The Peacock following its 2009 success.

Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands. But Traces is more than just a display of acrobatic brilliance, as snippets of the performers’ real lives are revealed through film clips. A FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOW

Combining awe-inspiring circus training with infectious urban energy, four men and one woman give dazzling, gravity defying displays of skill, balancing casually on each other's heads, or tumbling through hoops and leaping spectacularly up giant poles without using their hands. But Traces is more than just a display of acrobatic brilliance, as snippets of the performers’ real lives are revealed through film clips, narration and music. We are gradually drawn into their story, and by the final, dramatic climax of the show, the audience is on the edge of their seats, willing them to pull off the seemingly impossible.

Latecomers will not be admitted (no interval)

Faultless, funny, fabulous. What more do you want? Loved the intros about all 7 performers. Made you relate to them more.

Brilliant, innovative and entertaining show - the children said it was better than Cirque de Soleil!

Great, fun...a little repetitive and the posters were kind of misleading as there were no brightly coloured lights show as in the poster. But funny and kids were entertained. Maybe less theatre and more acrobats.

a must watch! Original performance with dance, amazing acrobatics, laughs, good music! Everything! I loved it!
