In 2016, the premiere of Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes which adapted the classic British film of the same name was met with thunderous approval from audiences and critics alike. The production would go on to win 2 Olivier Awards and stun audiences across the UK and the US. The triumphant return of this piece proves to be just as lauded as its premiere. The Red Shoes tickets are now available

The Red Shoes tells a story of obsession and possession. Do the red shoes belong to Victoria, or does she belong to them? And what, or who does her heart belong to? With a dream to become the world's greatest dancer, Victoria is ambitious and that leaves her torn between the two men who inspire her passion.

The ballet is based on the iconic, Academy Award-winning film by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger which was inspired by the classic Hans Christian Anderson tale. Matthew Bourne's enchanting adaptation is set to a score arranged by Terry Davis using the magical music of the original film composer, Bernard Herrmann. This triumphant return is brought to you by the New Adventures Company and the music for the show will be performed live by the New Adventures Orchestra.

Red Shoes was amazing !! Dancing stunning to brilliant choreography. Loved the sets, very clever. Music great, was it from the film? Was undecided whether to watch the film again before or after the ballet !! Not enough superlatives to describe it !! Thank you Mathew Bourne.
