The ever popular My First Ballet series returns with a new beautifully adapted version of Swan Lake, in a unique collaboration between English National Ballet and English National Ballet School.

This charming show features a shortened version of Tchaikovsky’s music, and a narrator to guide the young audience through the story of the beautiful princess Odette, who was turned into a swan by the evil magician Rothbart.

We were extremely pleased that we purchased tickets for the performance. Having a narrator explaining the story was a huge help and not only for the children! It was all beautifully done and kept the interest of our 7 year old. Well done. We would be interested in other productions. thank you.

Performance was amazing and fantastic value for money. Should be an age limit though as far too many babies and toddlers which spoilt some of performance.

An excellent production and a perfect introduction to the ballet for young children. My daughter is 4, she was entranced by the show from start to finish. The relaxed atmosphere makes is a very stress free experience for the parents too!

Lovely show, my girls loved it. Swan Lake is my favourite ballet and I was looking forward to the famous dance of the little swans. However this was not part of the kids version, which is a shame.

Perfect for childrens introduction to ballet with a simple engaging child friendly narration of the ballet story. Fantastic priced tickets with good views

I took my grand daughter aged 2 1/2 years. We found staff helpful and friendly. A narrator guided the children through the story. We both enjoyed the performance and she only became restless in the last 10 mins. We will go again.

The performance was engaging for all ages. My daughter and I have never been to a professional Ballet show before, and we loved it. The narrator was really helpful in assisting the younger ones with the story. A wonderful show. Hope to come back next year.

A very good show for little people and a pleasures to see it so well attended.

It was a perfect way to introduce little ones to a ballet performance, in an environment where they could engage without being ‘shushed’. My only disappointment was that there were no ‘four little swans’ which is such a recognisable part of Swan Lake.

We enjoyed the ballet very much and our six year old Granddaughter thought it was awesome. Thank you.

My view was perfect and the production was adapted to kids and very delightful to watch. I loved it.

Great - really well done. Not sure babies should be allowed in! Or maybe parents should be told to take them out when they cry. We had a crying baby behind us which spoilt things a little.
