The Lehman Trilogy, which was adapted from the Stefano Massini novel, transfers to the Piccadilly Theatre, London next summer. The play first premiered at London's National Theatre back in July 2018 before transferring to the Park Avenue Armory in New York and starred Adam Godley, Ben Miles, and Simon Russell Beale, who have all reprised their roles for the West End premiere.
What is The Lehman Trilogy West End play about?
The Lehman Trilogy is an exploration of the progress and pitfalls of capitalism leading up to the 2008 financial crisis. The piece follows three generations of the Lehman family, from when the first Lehman emigrated to the United States to the fall of the Lehman Brothers empire. Plagued with “third-generation syndrome,” Lehman Brothers was an investment bank founded by a first-generation immigrant before being forced into bankruptcy by the family’s third generation.

The Lehman Trilogy London cast stars Simon Russell Beale as Henry Lehman, Adam Godley as Mayer Lehman and Ben Miles as Emanuel Lehman. From 5 August, Dominik Tiefenthaler will play the role of Emanuel Lehman alongside Simon Russell Beale and Adam Godley.
