Ben Darcy

Benjamin “Ben” Darcy is a fresh new face in the English theatre scene. Having graduated recently, he is appearing in Pretty Woman: The Musical currently as part of the ensemble at the Piccadilly Theatre. Ben’s specific singing skills include tenor, falsetto and belt. He also dances jazz, contemporary, ballroom and ballet.

 

Training:

He graduated from Tiffany Theatre College with a 3-year Musical Theatre degree in 2015.

Theatre:

Ben has worked professionally as an understudy Pepper in West End’s Mamma Mia (May 2016 – June 2017); understudy Corny Collins and ensemble in the UK tour of Pail Kerryson/Drew McOnie’s Hairspray (Jul 2017); ensemble in Luke Sheppard’s Mamma Mia! (Cyprus, 2018); understudy Eugene, Theo and ensemble in Ian Talbot’s Eugenius! at The Other Palace, 2018; first cover Olly, the second understudy Drew in Nick Winston/Samuel Holmes’ Club Tropicana in its UK tour, 2019; first cover Robbie and ensemble in Will Keith’s Soho Cinders at the Charing Cross Theatre, 2019; cover Guilio, ensemble and Naked Cowboy in Jerry Mitchell’s Pretty Woman at the Piccadilly Theatre, 2020.

Before, he played the role of Jeremy in Adrian Noble’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the UK tour (Liverpool Empire, 2007); Benny in Anne Dalton’s Our Benny (ABD Productions, 2007) at the Liverpool Empire Theatre; understudy Oliver in Elsie Kelly’s Oliver! (BOST, 2009) at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.

Pantomime:

His credits include Peter Pan in Anne Dalton’s Peter Pan (ABD Productions, 2012); the title role in Aladdin twice – Lucinda Ryan Productions (2013) and Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (2018).

TV:

For television, Ben has worked as a dancer in BBC’s Children in Need (2013) and Women’s Champions League Final (2013).

Commercial:

He also has experience in ads, appearing as Young Lad in We Buy Any Car (2015) for webuyanycar.com; Teen in Sony Playstation (Bertie Films, 2016); Teen in Nerf (2016) for Hasbro.
