The full company has been revealed for the London Palladium’s summer production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, running from Saturday 20 June to Saturday 5 September 2026. The production will be performed with a 19-piece orchestra throughout.
As previously shared, leading the cast is Sam Ryder as Jesus in his stage debut, alongside Tyrone Huntley as Judas Iscariot. The role of King Herod is shared across the run by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Simon Russell Beale, Richard Armitage, Boy George, Layton Williams and Julian Clary. They are joined by Desmonda Cathabel as Mary Magdalene, David Thaxton as Pontius Pilate, Bob Harms as Caiaphas, Matty J as Annas, Billy Nevers as Simon/Alternate Judas, and Phil King as Peter.

Directed by Tim Sheader with choreography by Drew McOnie and design by Tom Scutt, this revival reunites the acclaimed creative team behind the 2016 production. It reimagines the rock opera telling of the final days of Jesus, featuring iconic songs including Gethsemane and Superstar.
