Disney's The Lion King is electric, exciting, enthralling and spectacular. The London production of the Lion King has been onstage at the Lyceum Theatre for more than ten years and Lion King tickets are still selling strong!

Based on the 1994 Disney animated film of the same name, the ever-popular musical The Lion King features songs written by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice. The musical score was created by Hans Zimmer with choral arrangements by Lebo M. Directed by Julie Taymor, the musical features actors in an array of animal costumes as well as giant puppets that masterfully move around the stage creating a magical feeling of being deep in the jungle.

Produced by Disney Theatrical, The Lion King debuted July 8, 1997, in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Orpheum Theatre. The production was an instant success before premiering on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theater on October 15, 1997.

The Lion King has since become Broadway's seventh longest-running show in history. Finally debuting in London's Lyceum Theatre on October 19, 1999, the Lion King has become a stalwart of the London stage.

So popular is The Lion King that tickets continue to sell out fast. There are never any discount lion king tickets available however, sometimes you might be able to pick up some tickets without a booking fee, or benefit from a reduced price for a group or school booking.

One way to buy tickets for The Lion King is to visit the Lyceum theatre box office in person. Alternatively, you can call the Lyceum theatre box office telephone number and book over the phone. Make sure you only ever book London theatre tickets from an official London ticket agent, particularly one that is a member of S.T.A.R. (the Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers)

Lion King Broadway tickets are also available from US ticket agents who also stock tickets for Lion King Las Vegas. However searching online for Lion King tickets typically brings up websites advertising tickets for Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre in London. Wherever you see Disney's The Lion King onstage, you are guaranteed a great show.
