Last Chance for Tickets to Admissions at Trafalgar Studios!

Get schooled with Joshua Harmon's Admissions play starring Alex Kingston (ER, Doctor Who)!

Admissions is the hit new Broadway play by Joshua Harmon (Bad Jews) that takes the values of liberal white America and blows them out of proportion. After a highly successful run on Broadway, Admissions has transferred from the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater at the Lincoln Center in New York to the West End's Trafalgar Studios with Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston starring.

What is the play Admissions about?

Sherri Rosen-Mason (Alex Kingston), the Head of the Admissions Department for a prep school in New England, is fighting to make the school's student body more diverse. With her husband, the school's Headmaster, by her side in the battle, they have managed to transform a 'monochromatic' and dull school into an institution fit for the modern age. But when their son begins eyeing admission into an Ivy League school but gets deferred for not 'ticking enough boxes', their progressive ideals seem to go down the toilet. Admissions explores the contradictions, hypocrisy and conflicts of interest that occasionally hinder progressivism.

The buzz about Admissions – a satire of the left

Joshua Harmon's piercing and, at times, hilarious play, Admissions, which is directed by Daniel Aukin, was one of last year's most popular shows on Broadway, put on by the producers of Oslo. With the show having won a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Play, it is reasonable to believe that the West End production of Admissions will enjoy similar success. Critics have been raving for the show's daring and, at times, satirical subject matter.

The story of Admissions is highly thought-provoking and will prompt discussion amongst peers immediately after viewing. If you loved The Height of the Storm, Bad Jews or Oslo, then Admissions is right down your street. Don't miss the astonishing UK premiere of Admissions for its limited 13-week engagement!

Outstanding and believable performances from the cast. Liked the fact it ran straight through. Tough on the actors but the story gained impetus and didn’t lose the tension. Well done. Fabulous show.
