What is Sarah Rutherford's The Girl Who Fell play about?
"It's just not right that she experienced the facts of life without me. Like if your kids did the dirty before you did."
Sam is dead at just the tender age of fifteen. All because of social media. Or is someone else at fault here?
Sam's mother and chaplain, Thea, is struggling with the aftermath of her daughter's suicide. Sam was naughty online, and Thea did something bad that she will never forgive herself for. Blamed by others and blaming herself, Thea embarks on a mission to understand what drove Sam to take her own life and where she is now, if anywhere at all. She is joined by the odd teenage twins, Billie and Lenny, plus Gil, who is a lost young soul colliding with theirs in a way that could change the whole game. The most dangerous leg of their adventure that could help shed light on Sam's death is just beyond the horizon, and Thea's awakening is not what she had pictured it would be.

Why you should see The Girl Who Fell play at the Trafalgar Studios 2
The Girl Who Fell, which is directed by Hannah Price, is a surprisingly comical play filled with dark, offbeat comedy and provocative scenarios. It is a play that answers to the young generation and their parents and explores feelings of guilt, loss, and scandalous Snapchat behaviour by the writer of the sell-out play, Adult Supervision, and former Park Theatre Writer in Residence Sarah Rutherford. You don't want to miss what the critics have called 'cracking', 'outrageously funny', (The Telegraph), 'fiercely funny' (Time Out) and a 'sparky, modern show' with a 'fresh voice' (Daily Mail).
