Experience the spellbinding magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London, the most awarded play in theatre history, now playing at the iconic Palace Theatre in the heart of the West End. This record-breaking production continues to redefine what live theatre can achieve, combining astonishing illusions, emotional storytelling and breathtaking stagecraft performed entirely live.
Until September 2026, audiences can experience the original two-part format — an epic theatrical journey that unfolds across two performances. From October, the production will be reimagined as a newly staged one-part version, offering a fresh way to experience the official eighth story in the Harry Potter canon. Whether you’re revisiting the wizarding world or discovering it for the first time, this is a must-see West End event. Book your Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets today.
Step back into the wizarding world 19 years after the events of the original Harry Potter series, in this extraordinary continuation of J.K. Rowling’s story. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows Harry, now an overworked employee at the Ministry of Magic, as he navigates the challenges of adulthood, parenthood, and a past that refuses to stay buried.
At the centre of the story is his youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, who struggles under the weight of his family legacy. As father and son become increasingly distant, a new threat emerges that could alter the course of time itself — pulling both the wizarding and Muggle worlds into danger once again.
The production is famously presented in two parts: Part One and Part Two, designed to be experienced either on separate days or, for the full immersive journey, as a same-day matinee and evening performance. This structure allows the story to unfold in cinematic detail on stage, with each part building towards an unforgettable climax.
From dazzling spellwork to emotional depth rarely seen in large-scale theatre, The Cursed Child expands the Harry Potter universe in ways only live performance can achieve. From October 2026, the show will be reimagined into a single, streamlined production, offering a new interpretation while preserving the magic at its core.

So you think you know all the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child characters? Let’s test that, shall we? With the introduction of the next generation of witches and wizards, there are a few names you may not be as familiar with.
You know the books. You know the films. But how well do you know the stage play currently on at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End? Meet everyone in the record-breaking show based on J.K Rowling’s wizarding world.
Let’s start with all the characters you know, love and (sometimes) hate.
The boy who lived to be an overworked Ministry of Magic employee and dad of three. See the lightning-scarred protagonist all grown up as we re-enter the Potter-verse where The Deathly Hallows left off - 19 years after the Battle of Hogwarts. The next generation of magical folk - including Harry’s son Albus - attend the hallowed school. Due to the pressures of work and a strained relationship with Albus, Harry says a few things a father shouldn’t, leading to disastrous events and a dash through time.
Helping Harry to become an official member of the Wesley family, Ginny is Harry’s wife. In the show, Ginny helps Harry to reconcile with their son Albus - proving herself to be wise and grounded, just as she was in the books.
The over-achieving Hermione is now the Minister for Magic. She and her husband, Ron, have a daughter named Rose who is attending Hogwarts with Harry’s children. Ever the loyal friend, Hermione joins Harry on his quest to repair the damage done to his son.
Following his brother Fred’s death, Ron has paired up with George to run Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes in Diagon Alley. Completing the magical trio, Ron joins Harry and Hermione on an adventure through time in hopes of fixing the present.
Harry’s nemesis, Draco, has led a difficult life. After the Second Wizarding War, he shed his prejudices and distanced himself from his Death Eater family. After finding love, Draco has a son called Scorpius who becomes Harry’s son’s best friend. Though his opinions have changed, his treatment of Harry and his friends hasn’t, leading to further tension between them.
